Spruce Stinger Review

Jack Jue Jr. 1-24-2023

After riding all day at the ski resort on the Stinger, it really is my favorite of your [Spruce] boards . I find it a very smooth and comfortable carving longboard skiboard that allows me to run a very relaxed style and not get tired out at all . Lots of suspension over moguls and bumpy terrain and more suspension than stiffer boards like the Sherpa or Playmaker.  I ran it again into cruddy snow to see what Scott disliked about the board .  Again the difference is just the difference from a rigid , stiffer board and a more flexible board .  For me , there is no question , I prefer the Stinger over the Sherpa .  I will give up the stiffness any day for the more flexible and nimble feel . It really gives me the power of the Sherpa but the nimbleness and comfort of the Slingshot so I am sold !  I think for the majority of the general public the Stinger would be a better fit than the Sherpa.
PS, as I said before in deep pow they are really  fantastic !  So it really is an all condition board. I had some pretty firm steep snow today and there was plenty of edge hold and no sliding out with high speed turns . Again no ice so I am not so sure how folks with just pure ice all the time will like them but for me they are great.
Jack
