Key Riser Features
The riser design incorporates a number of features that are key to its outstanding performance.

Rigidity/Durability

The high strength aluminum frame of the riser is extremely rigid and does not flex in use. This, coupled with the composite material in the baseplate, ensures that the Riser is essentially indestructible.

Board Flex

Many of the highest performance skiboards are very soft in flex. This flex gives them their signature easy turning on packed snow and their ride comfort in softer snow. In order to accommodate this need for board flex, the Riser only contacts the board for a length of five inches (127mm) allowing virtually the entire board to flex when needed.

Stand Height

The Riser increases the stand height of the binding mounted on it by 24 millimeters. This extra height (which is coincidentally at the maximum that the FIS allows in competition) provides additional  leverage during turns and also helps prevent "boot out" when making deep carved turns.
