"Are the Risers durable? "
Yes, the Pro Series Risers along with the bindings mounted
on them are designed to be rugged and completely trouble-free. The
five-year guarantee means that if you aren't happy with the product
anytime during the first five years that you own it, or if it malfunctions
during that period in normal use, you can simply ask that it be replaced
or have your money refunded.
"How hard is it to mount and adjust the bindings myself? "
As of the 2010.11 season, we mount and adjust all bindings before shipping them to customers. This is an approximate mounting that must be checked and tested by a certified binding technician using the actual boots that the customer will use with the bindings. In cases where the customer does not currently own a ski boot, we mount the bindings using the customer's street shoe size as a guide and require that the final adjustment be done by a binding technician at the time that they purchase or rent boots.
"Can I buy just a pair of bare risers without the bindings?
"
No longer. We have sold bare risers in the past, however this has
often been a source of problems for our customers. The risers are
manufactured with 24+ binding mounting holes in them and thus can
only rarely be used successfully with non-supported bindings.
"If I already have
older Spruce Risers with only 4x4 mounting holes, how do I mount them
on the Spruce 120 boards with the 4cm x 10cm insert pattern?
When you order a pair of the 120cm boards, we will pay to have your
existing Risers returned to us to have the 4cm x 10cm mounting holes
drilled in them. We will then return your risers to you mounted on
your new boards.
